cheap at any price...

So, according to the Wisconsin Elections Board, it's going to cost 12 million dollars to create a system to have voter registration in Wisconsin that halts same-day registration. Something like a motor-voter arrangement.  Let's think this through using progressive thinking.  The left and progressives are willing to strip away more of our liberties with more gun laws and with gun bans because it could possibly save one life.  Even for what seems to be an over-inflated estimate to put in place a new voter registration system, it is cheap at any price if it prevents one illegal vote. But you have to assume progressives are concerned with illegal voting.  How do you put a price on liberty?  To progressives, the value of liberty is cheap.

  1. Hmmmm... are you for or against ending same-day registration? I would have to assume you are against it, given the large numbers of Republicans who wanted to require ID and halt on-site registration during last fall's campaign. Were they really "progressives?" I would think you would welcome this change as a means to prevent traditionally transient, traditionally democrat populations such as students from having easy access to the polls.

As far as some limits on guns to prevent even one death - how would you feel if it prevented one of your loved ones from being murdered? The time it might take to replace a 10-round magazine, could be all the time needed to save an innocent life. There are no serious proposals on the table to take away anyone's right to own guns, despite the Talking Head Chicken Littles on Fox. Llimiting the size of a magazine isn't the same as taking away a gun.
