Hail to the king!...

President Obama made an interesting comment in his State of the Union Address on Tuesday night.  It becomes clearer and clearer that he believes that he and the progressive elites want to make decisions for us.  He said:

“The executive branch also needs to change. Too often, it’s inefficient, outdated and remote. That’s why I’ve asked this Congress to grant me the authority to consolidate the federal bureaucracy so that our Government is leaner, quicker, and more responsive to the needs of the American people.”

The last I knew, we elected people to represent us.  Checks and balances may drag the process out longer, but larger government in the name of expediency is wrong-headed.   President Obama, especially by appointing so many czars and implementing so many executive orders, has shown us that he craves more power, a progressive trait.  It looks like he has confirmed it.  He wants to be king.  All hail!

R-E-S-P-E-C-T....

...find out what it means to me!  Well, we found out what it means to the left and the protesters.  Booing, yelling and disrupting Gov. Walker's State of the State Address is the accepted way for them to show respect.  Was anybody really surprised?

Bottom Up, Top Down, Inside Out

Top Down, Bottom Up, Inside Out.  Those are the words that were spoken by Van Jones and many radical revolutionaries who have been in contact with the White House.  It is a very clever, yet very simple way to instill "change."  Radical Change.  A change that takes your individual liberties and throws them out the window.  A change that grants ultimate power to the few and serfdom to the many.

It is a plan to create a crisis, so that the Government can swoop in and save the day.  The plan entails for the people on the top(gov't officials, George Soros' of the World) to talk and plan with people on the bottom (labor unions, revolutionaries, anarchists).  The ultimate goal is to create a crisis.  A crisis in which leads to riots in the streets, or a financial crisis.  The riots and violence or the financial collapse will provoke the ordinary citizen to cry out to the Government to, "make it go away," and turn them inside out.  And then the top will come down.  Ultimately leading to huge government, more regulation and control, no individual liberties.  Our Individual Freedoms will cease to exist.

Here is Stephen Lerner(SEIU Exec.) talking about how to create a crisis

It is the basic idea of the Fabian Socialists. To "Remold it Nearer to the Hearts Desire."  Below is the famous Fabian Socialist Stained Glass Window.  Those previous words are along the top and they are referring to remolding the world.  You can see that the world has been heated up and they are hammering it.  How do you heat up a world?  Through crisis.  That is shown by the man on the left fanning the fire, or the revolutionaries creating the chaos.  And they do it under the cover of a false image or in disguise.  That is referring to the wolf that is covered in sheep skin.  (directly above the globe in the picture)

It is time to wake up and realize what is happening to our country.  Out of control government and revolutionaries are destroying the country that those men gave to use just 200 years ago.  Think about all that they sacrificed in the name of Freedom.  Many gave their lives to escape Tyranny, and we cannot let their sacrifices be in vain.  We were given a Constitutional Republic, where man can be Free, and can do what he pleases and does not have to answer to a Supreme Ruler.  When asked whether America would be a monarchy or a Republic, Benjamin Franklin answered, "A Republic, if you can keep it."   Can we keep it?  I contest we can.

Republican or Democrat

I was recently forwarded something (thanks uncle David) that does a nice job of illustrating one of the core difference between democrats and republicans...

This was in the comment section on an article in the NY Post:

I recently asked my neighbor's little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President someday. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there. So, I asked her, "If you were President, what would be the first thing you would do?"

She replied, "I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people."

Her parents beamed with pride.

"Wow...what a worthy goal," I said. But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that! You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull the weeds, and sweep the yard, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house."

She thought that over for a few seconds. Then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, "Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?

I said, "Welcome to the Republican Party."

Her parents still aren't speaking to me

duhhhh...

Whenever a different political party takes over control in the WI legislature, the controlling party will always re-draw the voting districts boundaries.  This is nothing new.  If you listen to the progressive left wing, you would think this is the first time it has happened.  Voter ID is also an issue they can't seem to grasp.  The latest complaint is that these items are too confusing for the general population to handle.  We aren't smart enough to figure it out.  This follows the progressive way of thinking perfectly.  The dumber they make the general population believe it is, the better it fits their agenda.  Does the term "useful idiot" come to mind? Keep us all under the infinite wisdom of the government, and we will be more apt to believe the government is entitled to provide for us.  A few elite, educated people always seem to know what is best for us.  I believe people can make decision based on what they believe is best for them.

I think all us bumpkins beyond them there liberal walls can figure it out.  Duhhhhh...

Worried about the national debt?

Are you worried about the national debt?  You should be. Here is the current picture as captured from http://www.usdebtclock.org/
  • National debt: 15 trillion
  • Current annual interest payments on the national debt: 220 billion
  • With a little math we can figure the interest rate at about: 1.5%
Some more numbers before getting into an analysis:
  • Our nations Gross Domestic Product(GDP): 15 trillion
  • Total personal debt in the US including home mortgages: 16 trillion
  • Federal spending 3.6 trillion (2011)
  • Federal taxes collected: 2.3 trillion (2011)
  • Federal overspending: 1.3 trillion (federal spending - taxes collected)
Alright, lets take a look.  Given that the current national debt is around 15 trillion dollars.  The 220 billion it takes for the government to service that debt makes it one of our largest single budget items.  (The largest budget item is actually medicare with  budget of around 830 billion dollars)  What happens to the amount we have to spend to service the debt when interest rates go back up?   We know it is going to happen.. we just don't know when.  To keep the math simple and realistic, let's say the interest rate goes back up to 6%.  that puts the debt service up to 880 billion.  That's just to service the debt we already have forget that the debt is climbing at over a trillion dollars a year.  That will make the debt the single largest budget item we have.

Still not concerned?  Lets examine a couple more areas.  Most strikingly from above we see that the national debt is roughly equal to our GDP.  It is also roughly equal to all of our personal debts including our mortgages.  I'm sorry, but I think it is insane that the government has seen fit to borrow, on our behalf, an amount equal to all of the goods and services our nation produces in a year!  It is further insane that the government thinks it is somehow responsible to borrow as much for us as we borrow for ourselves!  A responsible government would not borrow more than 10% of GDP. Period.

When interest rates go back up, the government will have an exceedingly difficult time raising the money just to pay the interest on the debt.  They will have to pay 1/3rd of what they collect in taxes just to cover the debt.  They will have to borrow even more to cover it... It's a pyramid waiting to collapse.

The answer:   The government has to stop spending so damn much money.  Alternative. tax the rich and corporations you say?  There are several of reasons that wont work but the short answer is: they don't have it.  Taxes are already too high.  And the higher we push their tax rates the less they are going to pay.  They just won't show the income.    Additionally, the rest of the people won't be too keen on paying higher taxes for no additional services.

In the end the only way to get the debt back under control will be to enact a balanced budget amendment and to stop raising the debt ceiling and above all else STOP THE WILD SPENDING!
