NUDGE

"The civil rights movement was hard. Winning the vote for women was hard. Making sure that workers had some basic protections was hard," 

"Around the world, Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, what they did was hard. It takes time. It takes more than a single term. It takes more than a single president. It takes more than a single individual."

"What it takes is ordinary citizens who keep believe, who are committed to fighting and pushing and inching this country closer and closer to our highest ideals. And I said in 2008, 'that I am not a perfect man and I will not be a perfect president.' But I promised you, but I promised you, I promised you back then that I would always tell you what I believe. I would always tell you where I stood." 


Those were some quotes from a recent speech that the President gave at one of his fundraiser events.  It appears that Obama is comparing the work that he has done to that of Gandhi and Nelson Mandela.  We should be used to this by now with all of the leftists continually praising this man's failures and wrong-doings, but it is hard to get over the crap that comes out of his mouth.  However, there were some words that caught my attention.  When he says, "What it takes is ordinary citizens who keep believing, who are committed to fighting and pushing and inching this country closer and closer to our highest ideals."  I don't know how much clearer it can be.  That way of thinking, or inching, has been laid out for us by Regulatory Czar Cass Sunstien.  Sunstien wrote a book called NUDGE.  In this book he talks about how you can't force radical change onto a society all at once, you have to continually nudge the citizens, little by little, until you reach the finish line.  That is the exact plan that the progressives have been following for the last 100 years.  The 100 year plan.  Progress.


Another line that caught me was when he says, "It takes more than a single individual."  His way of thinking is that, "You can't make it by yourself anymore. You need the Government in order to survive."  It's all about making you more dependent on the Government so that they can gain power.  It is all so clear and simple, yet most of the American public cannot see it.  


It is so very clear what this President and his progressive buddies (unions, radicals) are doing to this country.  They are trying to "nudge" you closer and closer to the edge of the cliff until fall off.  Their ultimate goal is a United Socialist States of America.  To take away our God given rights and replace them with Secularist, Government-given rights.  And in order to obtain that goal they will lie like there is no tomorrow.  If this President gains another term there is no stopping him.  He has already said that he doesn't care about Congress and that he will act.  Imagine if there is no threat of reelection to keep him in check.  It's time to stand up to this Government that wants to take away our freedom.  Make it known to them that we are not going down without a fight!
