President Obama made an interesting comment in his State of the Union Address on Tuesday night. It becomes clearer and clearer that he believes that he and the progressive elites want to make decisions for us. He said:
“The executive branch also needs to change. Too often, it’s inefficient, outdated and remote. That’s why I’ve asked this Congress to grant me the authority to consolidate the federal bureaucracy so that our Government is leaner, quicker, and more responsive to the needs of the American people.”
The last I knew, we elected people to represent us. Checks and balances may drag the process out longer, but larger government in the name of expediency is wrong-headed. President Obama, especially by appointing so many czars and implementing so many executive orders, has shown us that he craves more power, a progressive trait. It looks like he has confirmed it. He wants to be king. All hail!

It sounds like the kind of argument any wanna-be dictator would use in an attempt to rise to power. I'm surprised he didn't attempt to suspend elections durint this "difficult time".
